Stability and Support of Process Flow (IPA ) Landmark 10.1.1
unknown
We are approaching our upgrade to Infor 10 in a phased manner with Phase 1 being Processflow using LSF 9 and Landmark 10.1.1.
We have experienced many issues having started our test installation at Landmark 10.1.1.15 and are currently at level 10.1.1.27 still with outstanding issues. In working with Infor support, they issue a CU to solve 1 outstanding issue only for us to discover additional or sometimes former issues in the next CU.
We still have unresolved issues with CU27 and have not been able to establish a go-live date because of this. Our next concern is going live with this product and it's stability and Infor's support of the product.
What has been your experience with this product in a production environment?+

What kind of issues have to found? We are planning to do live 10/25 with CU28. We found some things we had to fix in the WEB run node but really no other issues. We are using Smart Office and the inbaskets are slow.

Judy, we are currently running version 10.1.26.44580 and the environment is stable. I have noticed that Security has its hurdles. I have noticed that slow response and performance issues, our LSF application cluster is currently a bottle neck.
Do you have elite support? We switched to this in August and there is a true difference in response times. I have also engage ICS for quicker update and incident cycle times.

We have experienced many issues. Our current issue after installing CU27 is processing large queries do not work - it hangs on both the server and the desktop. Finally data returns but is invalid data.
Other issues experienced:
..Data migrated from LSF 9 side (Logan tables for user and processflow setup) has not been complete. We have had to manually review and add missing information.
..CU26 was missing a java file and CU27 resolved that issue.
..We have not been able to replace the URL links in emails that worked in LSF9 created in the message builder
..When an activity error occurs, the rich client workunit summary page does not denote that an error has occurred with a red exclamation mark even though the pflow parameters have been set to notify activity error
Just to name a few

Thanks for the information we are just starting our version 10 upgrade in test and the IPA & landmark is being installed this week. Please continue to let us know issues you have may cause less headaches for all of us. Judy I agree with your concern with IPA product and it's stability and Infor's support of the product.

One thing we were told, after the fact and first significant problem, was that the IPA Designer and Rich Client needed to be the same version.

I have been testing out IPA for a few months now. Running version 10.1.1.22 on an AIX server and I am not experiencing any issues. I had some learning curves to go through to understand what to add in the configuration set and how to adjust to Lawson not being the local server but almost all my flows are now running faster in IPA than they did in PFI.

That is great, however, we had to proceed to higher CUs to resolve other issues and are well beyond CU22

I concur with Vickiv thanks for the information. We are having to go to CU27 because of a filtering issue with the user tasks. (Emails won't go out if turned on.) I do have a question about your query issues; how large are your queries that don't work? We have two major flows that use numerous querries but I am not sure I would classify them as large. Also did you do more than one migration before go-live or are those latest listings post go-live? It sounded like you did from your listing.

We are currently on Landmark CU23 and in production and test. We are having a problem with the Emails not going out for UserAction nodes. The strange thing is that it works in our test envirnoment. We have been told by Infor Support that there is a patch for this in CU28, but I still can't get past the fact that it works in test and not in production. We are working with someone from Infor on this issue right now. We haven't gone to CU28 because we are getting ready to go live with Performance Management and the users don't want to deal with another round of testing.

Judy, others - would you mind sending me your incident numbers that you have worked/are working with Support? Either on the thread or via email please - and I will take a look with the Product Manager and Development Director.
THanks,
Hans (hans.mueller@infor.com)
