IC72.1 Counts by Page
Stace Webley
Would anyone mind sharing their IC72.1 Counts by Page add-ins upload? We are in the middle of a physical inventory and I can't get mine to work...

Did you get it to work eventually?
Stace Webley
I did. Thanks for checking. I realized I was missing the preferred bin which I didn't think was required for IC72.1.

Have you looked into using IC574? We used to upload to IC72 and found IC574 to be much easier.

We use our handhelds to count and load them to IC72 through MSCM.

@Gretchen
Teshce, I had not thought about IC574. Thanks for the suggestion.
@Jon
A., we also use handhelds, but some restrictions lead us to paper for a number of items this time around...thus the need for add-ins. I'm hoping it doesn't happen this way again. Thanks for the ideas!

Can anyone tell me how to create a flate file to upload the inventory counts utilizing the IC574? Currently we use Add In's. I guess I'm not understnding how the IC574 works. Thanks for your help.

go to the Infor support site and search for Inventory Control File Layouts (Doc #44399) and it will be an Excel file with all of the input file layouts. Click on the link to IC574 and it will have each character mapped out for you.

Thanks Tracy. However, nothing is coming up. Maybe I'm not searching in the correct place.

@Stace
are you able to identify the restrictions preventing you from entering counts for some items via the handhelds/MSCM? We entered counts via MSCM for the first time during our last physical inventory and found a hand full of items that MSCM would not pass to the IC72. I finally gave up and entered manually to IC72.

Are you on 10.x. When we were testing our cycle counts for 10.x we found that if the item had a Zero Stock on Hand balance the system wouldn't take it.

@Damian
, I am uploading my copy of the IC file layouts to this thread. But all I did on the support site was go to Advanced search (top right corner under my name) and type 'Inventory Control File Layouts' in the Keyword field, oh I also clicked the checkbox for Documentation (not Articles). Doc 44399 was the 2nd listing.

Thanks a bunch Tracy!!!!! Damian
