PR299 RW Records for PA Filing

Did anyone have issues when filing PR299 EFW2 file with PA? We were unable to upload the file, and ended up having to delete the RW records from the file. Has anyone else encountered this?

We did not have a issue with the RW records. But did have a issue with duplicates. If we have an employee on Lawson twice (same ssn) two rs and rw records were created. We need to do this because of fed ein's. We had to manual combine the records and change the counts. PA does not take duplicates.

I have to report to the state of Virginia & I also deleted the RW records per their requirements. The PR299 file pulls everything the federal file does but the state of Virginia did not want the federal info, so we had to delete those records.

We sorted the file using TextPad, then deleted the RW records.

Also, has anyone had issues with the file being too large to submit to PA? Even with the RW records deleted, and running it by Entity(process level), the file was close to reaching the required maximum size for eTides. We are thinking we may need to break down the large Entities according to Employee Goups. Does anyone else do this, and run the PR299 by Employee Group (instead of by Proc Level or Company)?
