We are wondering how other organizations process retro pay when the original payment was made under multiple pay codes. Do you calculate the retro pay and pay it as a lump sum under one pay code or do you pay the additional dollars under each separate pay code (i.e. regular shift 1, PTO, overtime)?

We created a separate Retro pay code, pay it all as 1 lump sum

We created a separate pay code as well. And use the PR131 Retroactive Pay Calculation to process the retros. All applicable pay codes are tied to a pay class tied to the PR131.
