Data Schematic

Does anyone out there have a good Data Schematic of the Lawson Financial tables that they'd be willing to share with us?

The closest thing is the 'dbdoc' command, which will give you more than you want to know about any specific table.
My Lawson implementation has 1368 tables, most of which are empty. The tables you use depend on how you've configured the application and what programs and product need to run your business. Though they might be similar, my list of tables won't be identical to your list, which is why you will never get a "good data schematic" unless you build it yourself. Nobody has that much time.

I use LawsonGuru.com
Here is a direct link to their table data:

I can share an even better one with you, but it's too big to email.
Or I can see if I can describe to you how to create one of your own?
Which would you prefer?

1) Download/Install of GraphViz software program that produces the graphing capabilities for SchemaSpy
www.graphviz.org/Download.php
2) Download the SchemaSpy java jar file
sourceforge.net/.../
3) I downloaded a GUI front-end for SchemaSpy * Not technically necessary, but very handy!
mac.softpedia.com/.../Develo...yGUI.shtml
Then configure SchemaSpy with the host/port userid/password to access the DB, and give it a few more parameters, and start.
Depending on the size and analysis that needs to be done, it will take somewhere between 5 - 20 minutes to run, and will create linkable
web pages for you that contain much of the information that you and/or any report writer needs.
If you'd like more information, just let me know!

Thank you all for the information!!! I'm going to try Greg's suggestion and will let you know if I have further questions.

Greg, does it work with both SQL and Oracle? Also, would you be willing to post a snapshot of the output? Thanks!
moellerg
Yes, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Informix, Sybase, etc.
Some examples of what I've done for MSCM and LBI can be found here:
