dbreorg

Okay, we goofed a little here. I have applied a CTP that had DB changes to it so it did the reorg, etc. All that went fine. Then we needed to 'refresh' the data from production, so when we did that it obviously removed the changes in oracle, but the dbdef stuff is still there. How do I reapply those changes and not lose the data in those tables?

Wonder if you can do a blddbdict, then dbreorg -lc, list changes, then dbreorg -d (no physical chgs) - will that work? Otherwise, you can metadump/load from CTP###Backup/dbmeta loation, patch, reorg again. I think ..

I've done the same thing. I think if you know what the reorg changes were, and there aren't too many of them, you can manually revert them back in dbdef, then blddbdict and dbreorg again. Or maybe just back out the CTP and then reapply it?

Here is what I did. After making copies of course, I took the old dbdict and made it the current dict, ran the blddbdict and the dbreorg.
