We utilized Step & Grade tables to populate rates for all union jobs. The tables are set up with the union rate scales, new hires are entered with a job and step which populates the rate.'
Our union rate scales start with base then step 1, 2, 3, 4. So using the Step & grade tables means base is step 1 and year 1 increment (step1 is actually 2 in Lawson). To this point only PR/HR has been using the inforamation but we are going to open up manager self service and we feel this step number difference is going to be an issue.
Is anyone else dealing with this issue or have you found a way to enter base and have year 1 step 1 be 1 on the rate scale? Looking for options??
