How do I break into BASIC in Facts7.7 ?
skyler-williams
I'm looking at the 77alpha demo.
For example,. I'm in Item Inquiry. In the past I would have to 'fix' the code which had a return at the target point of the setesc line by replacing it with an escape trap borrowed from, e.g., SOP211.
Now it seems that no matter what program I'm in, (inquiry, report driver, file maintenance, etc) I can't break into basic, and no amount of
setesc ""
or
setesc 0
in programs such as SMC905, SMI998, SMC600, or SMC909 has any effect.

John,
I also found this highly annoying. Hee is what I have discovered. use at your own risk. You can put a setesc 9710 at the top of SMC905. Then, "borrow" the routine from SMC902 at a 7.6 level and put that in SMC905 as well. This should give you what you want.
