UOM conversion with open POs
unknown
Is there any way to change a stock UOM conversion without taking an open poline off the po?

Not that I am aware of but if someone knows how I would be interested in knowing that myself.
We cancel all un-received PO lines prior to changing then add them back.

No need to cancel the PO line. Just change the PO line to a different UOM. Once you have changed the Stock UOM, change the PO Line back.

I should have phrased my question better-It's the conversion QTY I am trying to change. Our stock on hand is zero but it makes us take the open poline off before it will let use change the conversion QTY.

I think you are stuck until all PO lines are closed. This is really frustrating, especially when you are dealing with an item that orders every day. I feel your pain.

We make the changes with the PO lines open. The issue is the PO Line cannot have the UOM that you are changing. So if you have built a UOM as BX/1 and want to change it to EA/1,BX/10 and you have an open PO for the BX: I add the EA string and a CA string to the IC11. I then change the PO to a CA. Next I change the Stock UOM to EA followed by correcting the BX UOM Conversion Factor. I then change the PO back to BX and delete the CA string from the IC11.

CTP 95350 will create an option on IC00 to allow changes to UOM with open orders. We installed it and keep it set to No. Then when we get the error, we can eval the item and if we want to change it, we can go to IC11, set the flag to yes, change IC11 and then set the flag back to no.
It makes it a warning - not a hard stop.

Kat-I had I.T. load CTP 95350 in our test area but it's not working. Will not keep the change in the IC00. Did you have any issues in the beginning? He is working with Info to troubleshoot.

No - we installed on 9.01.7 I believe and it worked as designed out of the box.
