BSI v10
unknown
Are we able to continue to use our current BSI 9.0.k through Jan 31, 2015? We are currently implementing INFOR V10, and will be going live using BSI TaxFactory 10 at the end of January. We are currently on LAWSON 9.0.1.7.184. Concerned if there are going to be any issues with calculating taxes on our bi-weekly payroll.

Your 9.0.k version will continue to run but there will be no tax updates after Nov 30 so you would not receive any of the Federal or State changes for 2015. Unless, that is, you have contracted with BSI for extended support which they offered at a premium price.

Is anyone having an issue with BSI10E1 where there is no taxable wage reflected in Lawson for some local PA taxes. BSI is saying they now send Lawson reportable wages (wages that have to be reported on W2), not taxable wages. I am unclear on the difference?
unknown
We too are having problems. PA is on the list of issues we're having. I'm curious what "lawson reportable wages" even means?

I am not sure. Have open support tickets with both Lawson/Infor support and BSI. Seems to be an issue with BSI as BSI is calculating taxable wages but 0.00 reportable wages and reportable wages is what is reflected in Lawson.
BSI support analyst today told me other clients have called and reported this issue as well...but they are still researching.
The timing of this is terrible with year-end coming up and needing to be on version 10 in order to get required tax updates. We cannot move to 10 until these issues are resolved.

Latest update from Infor support:
BSI has broken out taxable into two fields – one still called taxable and the other called reportable.
• Taxable is solely what the tax engine uses to calculate the tax. This is NOT always the same amount that should be on the W2.
• Reportable is for W2 reporting. The payroll application needs to store the amount that is to be reported on the W2.
The display log will show both reportable and taxable.
BSI has stated that what was passed previously in taxable is now passed in reportable. And they have changed what is passed in taxable.
PR140 was simply changed to reference reportable instead of taxable.

I thought there was a CTP in the installation alerts mentioned that would address this issue.

We did apply CTP 102506 in conjunction with BSI 10 E1. Didn't fix this issue.
If there is another one we need, please let us know. Would love to know that there is a patch solution!

I thought the fix was to be fixed by 10 e2 due out 12/20/14 last I heard

We had a similar issue with PR140 and pension payroll. CTP 102154 fixed our problem.

Good to know.
We are having issues with our install and haven't begun testing. Of course we had just completed our 10d thinking that would be the last of it this year.

I'd like to add a few comments that might help out.
These are the ctp's that have been released to date:
JT 641574 , JT 657347 and JT 669375
If you are on TF10e.1 and are still having problems with locals, there is not a Lawson JT to take, but you do need to change the basic reciprocal flag in the configuration area of TF10. (see attachment)
There are still issues with some states for those employee's that live and work in different states. BSI is reviewing these, so if you haven't already, you need to contact them.
TF10e.2 will be released to Lawson on 12/20 to determine if a certification will be needed. If so, it could take up to a couple of weeks to post. This cyclic will fix the issue with the exempt code of B not working on the PR13.1.
