Ming.le / S3 10 and IE Compatibility Views
Robert Canham
Hi,
We completed our upgrade to Lawson 10.0.4 using Ming.le for the front end. We knew going in that compatibility views was not supported, however, it is turning out to be a bigger issue than we thought.
Has anyone figured out a way to override the local browser settings that work? I've tried adding an X-UA-Compatible header to the IIS site, but that didn't have any impact.
Thanks

If I may ask, why are you using Compatability Mode for IE when version 10x is supported?
Robert Canham
It was added for some users previously because it wasn't supported in 9.0.1. Also there may be other sites in our domain that required it. We don't want to continue using it, but we have internal and external users so we can't reliably remove it.

That is tough position to be in. It limits how extensively you can utilize a browser. Good luck.

We had our desktop support folks push out an IE policy setting to force compatibility mode off. This of course causes an issue for apps that still require it (our current desktop standard is IE8). We also use an internal Citrix connection to run Mingle/Portal to force the settings we need. Either way it's a pain, turning it on for apps that need it, and off for Lawson.
