Invoice Forms

Has anyone else had a problem with the two different invoice forms?

When you create the invoices in the Sales menu, it prints using vMinvfm1, which I have edited exactly the way my company wants it to look.

But if you need to reprint this invoice by going into the Receivables menu, it uses vFinvfm1, which pulls a different set of information that doesn't allow me to split out the the tax.

I tried using overrides to make them use the same form but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

Rename vFinvfm1 to vFinvfm1_old, then create a copy of vMinvfm1 and rename it vFinvfm1 and see if it fires.

I gave it a try but it didn't work. It may have something to do with the fact that they appear to pull different information. The vF version does not appear to pull tax amounts, which is my problem. We have programmed our environmental surcharge into the tax line so we have to pull tax amounts.

I guess I just don't understand why they would create an invoice report that doesn't allow for tax. Is there any other way to reprint an invoice?

The only way to reprint the manufacturing Invoice is under Invoice Forms/Print Duplicate Invoice. This has been my complaint for years that the two are not compatible. I use Traceability and that too is not available on the Financial Invoice.

Thank you! It's good to know it's not that I don't know what I'm doing - which is true, but not the problem in this case.

Well, it was worth a shot. Not the biggest fan of gupta, when things get to complicated, like stacked extended queries, I bang it out in crystal.

I need to also customize my invoice forms. Which version of Crystal Report should I get? I currently am using Visual 7.1.1
