Required Certification Tracking in Lawson - PA08
We are tracking essential certifications on PA08 by Position number. There is a couple of scenarios we were curious if other healthcare organizations have and if so how it is being tracked. As well as, how other health organizations are maintaining certification entry by manager.
1. There are certain positions in which more than one certification can satisfy the requirement, For example a person may have the option to choose between four different certifications and as long as they have one of them that fulfills the requirement. Since PA08.1 just has a Y or N option there is no way to specify it just has to be one of these four certifications. How are other organizations tracking this?
2. Areas want to add a requirement for a certification for new hires but not require this certification for existing employees. Since PA08.1 is by position and doesn’t have hire date logic, how are other organizations tracking this?
3. Is there a self-serve form where managers can maintain certification information for their direct reports?
