vertex interface api

I don't see a group for vertex, if there is a better place for this post please let me know.
We are having issues trying to get the makefile for BaanIVc4 to vertex on roacle to run.
We are on a client server configuration for vertex. Does anyone have experience with this configuration using vertex?
