We currently are utilizing Lawson to track consignment and have run into several issues. I feel the biggest issue has been the fact that clinicians are managing the consignment and they do not have supply chain experience and therefore do not understand the impact of the transactions they create.
Please provide feedback on whether or not you track consignment in Lawson (why or why not), pain points/suggestions, whether you would be open to a conference call if you do. I am available if you have questions on our process.
We are a 5 hospital systems and currently have about $6 million in consigned inventory. I have attached an assesment of our current situation for review. I am not looking to implement another solution, at this point, it is either in or out of Lawson. I personally am a strong proponent of "in".
