Landmark Async

Has anyone come up with a way to monitor the Async processes on a Landmark server? Ours seems to have shutdown last week and wasn't noticed until this morning.

Hi Jeremy,
We have encountered the same and one suggestion that support offered was to run the Async under its own node off the Lawson GRID. We have IPA and Async sharing a node at the moment. I am not completely convinced but we will give that a try. Keep me posted as you what you end up implementing.

I had split IPA and Async to different nodes to address performance issues with IPA earlier this year. For the most part async runs just fine. Since I posted this, I have learned that there was an internal network blip with one of the main switches in our data center right around the time async stopped working. I'm thinking this may have contributed to why it stopped, I guess it was potentially unable to recover after losing connection to the database (runs on a different server).

I think this was the first time I had a problem with Async not doing it's job, so I would certainly try splitting them to different nodes.
