Pharmacy distributor and Lawson EDI

Is anyone using Lawson EDI with Cardinal Pharma or any other Pharmacy distribution vendor? If so, which transaction sets and are you using any special process maps. In which system are the orders placed and do you have any interfaces for the overall process?

In Purchasing we send our non RX orders to Amerisource Bergen via GHX w 850 and 855 sets. Our Pharmacies (22 accounts total) enter their RX orders into the ABC website. I helped set up their 810's to be posted in GHX website but we do no process them using MA540. AP and Pharmacy found this to be a huge benefit over manually building spreadsheets from Pharmacy for AP to enter into our MMIS (Lawson) system.

So short answer is we are not fully integrated with 850, 855 and 810 but use a mix that meets our needs.

So, the 810 stops at the myexchange and you view the invoices from there. Or do you download and archive them? Did you stop uploading this data to your MMIS?
I'm most interested in the Pharmacy division. Is anyone processing the MA540 for the 810 Pharmacy invoices? We use MHC Image Express scanning solution and have our EDI invoices automatically link in Lawson from the MA540 file. AP is being required to scan/link the .pdfs and that will be a tedious process for them. I was hoping to extend the MHC ix automated process to them by using the MA540.

We also receive 810's from AmerisourceBergen (via GHX) for both pharmacy and non-RX orders. We send the 810's to our Image Now document imaging system for the pharmacy managers to approve the invoices for payment. We also developed programs to generate APCINOICE and APCDISTRIB files from the 810 data to feed into AP520 so they can process as non-PO invoices. It took a good bit of programming but our AP department is very happy with the results.
