I am trying to change the shipping process we currently use because we ship the items in visual and the print the picklist & despatch notes AFTER using ACCESS. The despatch team then go to the specified Locations and send the parts out the door.
This causes a few issues when the despatch team sometimes get to the Location and the parts have been moved and it doesn't show an accurate despatch date.
I am trying to get my head around how Visual expects it to Flow and this is what I below is what I have come up with and it would be nice to hear from you on how you handle the process.
a). The Sales Team decides which orders they want to ship and how much of the order.
b). They then go into Shipping Entry and print the "BEFORE packlist" in the Despatch Area.
b). The Despatch picker receives the "Before Packlist" with the qty to pick on there and once he has picked the order he will then ship the order and print the "After Shipped" Picklist/Despatch note and send it off with the parts...
The issue is I cant see how the Sales team can specify the quantity they would like to ship.... often the customer doesn't want the entire order even if they are available.
My questions:
1. How does your Process Flow.
2. How do the Sales team inform the picker how much they would like him to ship? (do you use order acknowledgements to specify how much to ship?)
