Does BN105 need to be run to update ACA offers prior to 2016 Open Enrollment launch
We are about to launch OE for 2016 in a few weeks and looking for someone else who is setting up ACA to capture offers thru their OE for 2016 too. When completing your OE setup for 2016, after you update your HL plans and add the ACA parameters, should you set your BN105 to create the ACA offers when you go to run the BN105 and update the plan or wait until after OE is over?
Concern: We currently do not create a new start date for each of our Health plans in BN15 but instead create a new start date each year only in BN18.1 (employee group) . If I run the BN105 for ACA updates will it try to retro back to the plan date or read the BN19.5 start date instead? For example, we have a BN15 record for our High Ded Plan that has a start date of 01/01/2008 vs. a 01/01/2016 start date within BN19.5 for the hourly and Salary versions of this plan for the ACA parameter setup.
The EMSS updates does not indicate needing anything but the EMSS upgrade and patches in order to capture offers during OE but how will the system know that the ACA parameters are if we do not update the plan in BN105 too? Does this mean that the BN15 setup does not matter at all to how the offers will be captured during OE and that it will only be pulled in once we pull in employees benefits enrollments in the new year?
