InBasket in Mingle

We use InBasket for job requisitions and change requests. We are currently upgrading to V10 and Ming.le. It takes more clicks to get to the InBasket in Mingle. We had portal set up so the different Inbaskets appeared in the bookmarks and users could see if there was work pending for them as soon as the logged in. It looks like they have to navigate into the InBasket to see if there is any work. Has anyone else noticed this? How are you handling this? I'm looking to see if there is any other option.
