PR299 EFW2
patrycja-szymanska
I ran my EFW2 file through Accuwage and am receiving a warning that the submitter EIN and the Employer EIN are the same. I used Infor Chat and they said that the employer EIN comes from PR06 and the submitter from PR299. I tried removing the EIN from the submitter tab on the PR299 but received the same error. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem; I used the same parameters for the PR299 last year and did not have any problems.
I would also like some help with this issue

Are your EINs different?

No, my EINs are the same. I also removed the EIN from the submitter tab but the error still occurs.

I think it is OK if they are the same. It is not an error message on our Accuwage feedback, just a warning message. I believe it is there in case they are supposed to be different like if you are using a service to do the submission, and the message is there to help make you aware. That is how we looked at it anyway.

The paragraph below appears on the SSA BSO W-2 page under what's new.
Maybe if we run our file through AccuWage and the EIN issue is the only item that pops up, we can just ignore it and submit it to BSO without worry...I hope.
"An informational alert will display if the Submitter EIN (RA or RCA Record) and Employer/Agent EIN (RE or RCE Record) is matching. This is only an alert notifying the user that the fields match and asking if you meant for this to happen. If this was intentional, you may continue and process your file as normal. This is only an informational alert."

But, it would be nice to know if there is a way to control this in Lawson.

Amen! We had the same issue, Accu Wage did say it was just a warning. I went in and edited the header record of my file until accuwage would accept it.
