Auditing Payroll Timerecords

We have been requested by our internal auditors to audit the time records that our payroll staff add/modify/delete. They are interested in seeing instances where time records were manually added rather than via our interface with Kronos. They also want to report out on changes made to time records after they are imported such as changes to pay rate, hours, etc.

Has anyone done something similar that they would be willing to share?

We query the TIMERECORD table 3 times during our payroll cycle - immediately prior to the first PR140, after the first PR140, and then after the final PR140. The query has the user ID of the individual who created/last changed the time record. I'm not sure what your ID would show for records created by Kronos, but it works well for us because the same individuals create standard time records (as opposed to the group of data entry users) which can be filtered out of the queries, and it ultimately allows us to determine at least if a time record was deleted since it disappears from the last listing.

We have a specific user ID that runs the PR530 jobs that come in from Ceridian. That's how we can differentiate between the payroll users and our scheduled job interface. if you are bringing in the time records from Kronos via the PR530 schedule the job through a different user ID that the payroll team doesn't have access to.

There is a Kronos canned report for that, the Timecard Audit Trail. Is it not doing something you need it to do?
