Use Tax Reporting

We recently brought for profit companies into our organization and are having issues finding reports/tables that will give us a line by line breakdown of Sales and Use Tax from Accounts Payable. Does anyone else have Use Tax reporting issues and if so, what was your solution as to accurately reporting these figures to the State?

I was wondering what software you are using? I am interested in purchasing SW to for Sales and Use Tax. Is this still Vertex?

We are not using any software at this point in time. We are only responsible for reporting and filing Use tax in one state which makes it somewhat easier to track changes.

If you are only concerned with one state, it seems that the TX module would be adequate. Set up the appropriate use tax counties and rates, have AP use the appropriate codes on transactions, use TX100 to get the transactions for a date range.

We are currently using Vertex Q Series for Sales & Use Tax. We find it adequate, but not outstanding. The integration with Lawson and control over how tax works leaves a lot to be desired. We actually have a project slated for 2015 to replace it.
