error43 line 24315 in SME997 - confirming serial / lot items

Hi
Has anybody coded a correction for the bug where disp_mask$ is null. This is reported under KB 1497798. There is some reference to program SOE514 (8600 section) and SOC503 (8600 section). I see where disp_mask$ is passed in on one and not the other etc....do not know if anybody has added this or come up with another resolve. Thanks !
