Physician Compensation
unknown
I'm interested in hearing from other Healthcare clients on how they pay their providers. We have a standard 2080 hrs pay plan but we do compensate some providers on and 1872 hour year, though we have no pay plan/schedule to support that.
Also, we find it difficult to pay different shift rates (ER/8 HR shift=800 vs. UC/8 HR shift=600) to different staff and still track hours worked when it is not tied to base rate. We use lump sum payments but then have to track hours manually.
Any information would be helpful. We are looking at implementing the Infor Compensation Management Module but want to have some of the basic compensation hurdles figured out before then so we can redesign efficiently.

I have no answers, but many of the same questions. We pay providers using a varitey of methods- some are salaried some we pay by the shift (including different rates for days and nights) some are paid a combination of a salary and shift rate. I use standard time cards PR30 in Lawson & PA13 muli jobs, but there is alot of manual intervention at this time, which I would like to automate. We were looking at the salaried versus hourly option for employees (haven't finished the search on that yet). I howpe there will be some posts on this topic. Thanks,
