Feel free to contact me with questions

We are recording HCPCs code and an Epic ID code (combines a billing code and HCPCS ie: TC272A4649) on IC11 user fields. The field used to record the Epic ID is mapped to interface to Epic OpTime and HB.

Thanks!
How is the Epic ID code mapped to OpTime? Is it a script you run, or is Epic able to integrate that through each system?

An HL7 Item Master ZZ528 job is run late each day, an interface script or job then follows to move the item master data file to Epic.

We store the UNSPSC in the item master in the class tab. We don't store the HCPCS but we do put the epic eap and it's associated lawson item(s) in PC10.
We interface to Optime, Cupid and Radiant with a custom sql that Cloverleaf makes an HL7 compliant file. (This lets us do things like map the generic noun as Supply Type/Implant Type, etc)

Kat,
Does your custom SQL program pass the entire item master each time or does it just pass changes and new items similar to the IC527 program in Lawson? We currently use a modified version of the IC527 program to pass the item master changes to EPIC, but if I could find another solution I would like to get rid of this program which is the only modification we have to any of the Cobol programs in Lawson.

The query grabs all item master items that are in the Epic IC12 locations. I believe it's Cloverleaf that looks at the record and determines if it is (A) New, (B) Change or (C) No Change from the previous night's file and then processes the record accordingly. But they may be passing all records along.
I can share the SQL if needed, you can reach me at kvila@mhs.net
