ESS Annual Benefits Enrollment has a blank Benefit Type on BS31

Does anyone know why a Benefit Type would come over from ESS as a blank instead of 1=Annual? Interesting it happened to the same employee last year. Her Employee Group and benefit elections are all working as expected.
