MSP 10 - PR530
Legacy Contributor
We are on ESP 9.0.1.12 on Unix/Oracle
We are experiencing a four fold increase in PR530 processing time vs our PROD Payroll PR530 from last week's Payroll on our largest PL, whilst testing MSP 10 Upgrade (4 hours as opposed to 40 minutes!).
Our TEST environment is a mirror image of PROD from a previous Payroll.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
We have opened a ticket with Lawson GSC, but have no update on this to-date.

Just reviews the timings - make that five to six fold increase!

Same verison of Oracle?

In MSP10 PR530 is more "sensitive" to how the input file is sorted. It needs to be pre-sorted by company, batch-nbr and employee. We ran into the same issue when we upgraded to MSP10 with the same ran times. As soon as I pre-sorted the input file the PR530 run times increased significantly.

Also, there was a CTP for LPBALPD. checkout these KB articles: LPBALPD - 63.1.10 - JT-564914 KB 1487596 and PR530PD - 68.1.12 - JT-564840 KB 1479620.

Oracle is the same version in both TESt and PROD.
Is "sensitive" a Technical term?
Thank you Robin for your input, I understand previously we have just merged multiple files together, rather than merge/sort them.
We will try this, and hopefully this will give us our expected/acceptable results.

Yes - "sensitive" is my technical term. It's copyrighted. LOL. We had multiple files for multiple P/Ls too, but previously did not sort the input file. I used the unix sort command in a script to merge and sort the file.
