Virtual SQL server

Good Morning,

We currently run LSF on a virtual server, but the SQL database is on a physical server. Our network manager is recommending that we move the SQL database to a virtual server. The new virtual server will be the only one on a new physical server. The physical server will be more powerful in terms of memory and processor power.

Does anyone have any recommendations or warnings regarding this proposal?

We have had our sql database on a virtual server for at least 5 years with no issues.
