Vacation Donation Program
My company is considering setting up a benefit where employees are able to donate their unused vacation time to a company pool. Employees who are experiencing certain circumstances would then be able to apply to use days from this pool (medical time off, etc). after a committee has approved their request. It's very similar to a vacation buy/sell program, but they are not getting anything for their donation and the donated hours go into a pool that anyone in the company can use.
Does anyone have something like this on their system? How do you track the donated hours, the hours that have been granted to those that use them, and any costs associated with the program?
Lastly, is it possible to have a running total to track the value of the donated hours (based on each donator's salary) and the value of the hours going out, based on the donatee's salary?
We have Time Accrual but we do not have Leave Management.
