Processing Personnel Actions
unknown
We run a payroll every week alternating between two processing groups. Personnel actions are processed into Lawson at the end of the second week of that processing group’s biweekly payroll period. The personnel actions are processed after their effective dates. I would like to know if companies follow the same procedure for processing personnel actions or do you input future actions. Have you had any problems with pending actions not updating and does Lawson have a report of pending actions besides the PA100 in report mode.

For the most part I enter all my leave of absence, new hire/rehire and termination personnel actions on or after the effective date, also. Occasionally I will enter future dated PAs and haven't had any problems. They have always been processed with the next PA100 run after the effective date.
I don't know of any other pending PA reports, though.

Hi - we process our personnel actions daily and input future actions. We also run our PA100 jobs in report and update mode every day except days payroll is running (which is 2 days out of the biweekly payroll period). We have experienced any issues with pending PA actions. Other than PA100, we have used Lawson AddIn's to query pending actions.
