Is anyone using Fidelity Investments to process plans for employees?
ggrooteman
Hello, Is anyone using Fidelity Investments to process plans (403B, 457B) for employees on a biweekly schedule? We will begin in several months transferring this data biweekly to Fidelity and will also receive a file from them for uploading into Lawson. This is very new to us. We are very interested in knowing if any other client uses this process and can transfer some knowledge regarding any "off the shelf" programs that Lawson has for creating these specific file formats for inbound and outbound processing. Thank you so very much for any information you can offer to us.

Hi Cathy:
Our vendor is Transamerica. We do upload a biweekly "deferral" from them that is used to add or change contributions to our DC plan. The "deferral" file that we receive from them is laid out in the BN531 file format. I then upload this file and run a BN531 job to process it.
After our biweekly payroll processes, we send "remittance" files to Transamerica. These files are generated to their file specs using a series of crystal reports.

We are creating the file to fidelity and finishing testing an IPA to load the feedback file into Lawson. You are welcome this information if you still need it.

I am currently writing some specs to retrieve the feedback files. It doesn't look that difficult. Fidelity has assigned me a Data Conversion consultant and so far has been very helpful with understanding the layout and how the data is sent.

I would love to get the specs for the file you send to Fidelity. The feedback file isn't so bad.
