Health plans with wellness component

I am seeking information as to how other organizations handle this issue with ESS benefits open enrollment.

One of our affiliates is planning to charge different health insurance rates based on their wellness points. They would like to update the employees prior to open enrollment so the employee will see the different rates depending on wellness points while going through open enrollment.

Here is my issue............ if they change groups today, the employee rates will be the new rates now but they really don't want the group to change until January 1.

What do others do today?

We did two user fields and two employee groups. That way 2013 benefits rates are based off of one set of user fields and employee groups and 2014 benefits are based off of the other set of user fields and employee groups. Then the 2013 groups become the 2015 groups next year.
