Req Center
unknown
We have over 300 people system wide that input requisitions. We currently use RQ10 for requisition input. We are looking at Req Center. Can anyone please share their migration from RQ10 to Req Center?
How long did it?
What type of training is needed? How long was the training?
How user friendly is Req Center?
What are some of the issues that were encountered?
Thank you

We have been live on RQC since it was SEA in v6. It is much friendlier than RQ10 - currently only the replenishment folks use RQ10. We have an hour long lesson class that we book for 2 hours to allow for questions or whatnot. We limit 10 per class.
The closest to your rollout we had was from SEA to RSS - at the time we had 1500 users so we hired some trainers had a train-the-trainer session that lasted 2 days and then set them up for 2 sessions a day over the course of 3 months.
RQC is more "shopping online" feel. And you can control who sees what sections on RQ04. As the users will be able to see the "whole" req in their cart vs 5 lines at a time, and they'll be able to print easier as well as Inquire and have a Status link - I can't imagine you'll get much pushback.
I'm at kvila@mhs.net if you'd like our workbook.

We did not use RQ10 prior to RQC. We customized parts of RQC to accomodate our workflow and introduced a vehicle to upload documents (.doc, .xls, .pdf), not URLs. The use of their configure file is very helpful. flores@cshl.edu

I agree that RQC is much more intuitive. The shopping cart is just like you would see on most websites. We have hundreds of users on RQC now. We had our Purchasing supervisor record a short video and posted it on our intranet site. As we bring users up on RQC, we direct them to watch that video and if they still have questions, there is an email group that they can reach out to for assistance. In rare cases, we have to do one-on-one training.

would you be willing to share your video? We were told by Lawson that this was the best practice regarding requisitions, but we no nothing about the system and how it works. Thanks

I wish I could, but unfortunately our company policy won't allow me to share it.

Doreen,
For us, some Power users have access to RQ10, but the majority utilize RQC for ordering as it's more user friendly. We require all requester take our RQC course which was created with Lawson Learning Accelerator and accessible through our LMS. As mentioned above RQC is more intuitive and easier to grasp then RQ10.
