ACA XML File

I don't believe the patch for the ACA XML file transmission has been release. Does anyone have any idea when this is suppose to be done? It looks like quite a process to create it.

Infor announced the XML CTP is in beta testing and is scheduled to release mid May.

Friday, May 13, 2016: ACA XML Employer Reporting Release The following changes are being released to support ACA XML Employer Reporting.

The CTPs associated with JT-890039 contain:

1. ACA XML File Creation (BN299) – this program has been updated with functionality to create the XML files for IRS reporting. A new parameter field labeled “Final IRS Submission” has been added with options 1 No, 2 Test, 3 Final Update.

a. Option 2 Test: to create your test file for the required IRS Test Communication process.

b. Option 3 Final Update: to create your organization’s production XML Files for transmission to the IRS. This option will also update key information viewable in ACA IRS Receipt ID Update (BN89) for future use (pending development for Corrections, Voids, and Replacements).

2. ACA Monthly Counts Report (BN255) – this new program will assist you with determining 1094-C counts required in 1094 Part III – ALE Member Information.

3. ACA IRS Receipt ID Update (BN89) – this new program will be used to view the XML Submission ID and Record ID generated by BN299 when run in Final Update. An enterable field is available for you to key in your IRS Receipt ID for future processing.

4. ACA Report Entity Information (BN27.1) – this program was updated with four new Data Items under Topic: Y1 – Technical File Control. These data items are required for the IRS Communication Testing and to override the XML file size.

Follow the Steps outlined in KB 1827824 to complete the ACA XML Employer Reporting process. This article explains the contents of the release and references other KB articles that provide directions on specific topics.

Print KB 1827824 and use it as a guideline for processing the ACA XML Employer Reporting solution.

Amy - My BN299 (xml files for IRS) total of records processed is 10467. The job has created two set of out put files. One file with 10,000 records and its manifesto, and another file with 467 records and its manifesto file. Is this correct that the system will create two different files when the first one reached 10000 records? Should I submitted to IRS at any particular order?

I got three sets of results Luis, too. 3 manifesto and 3 xml - mine also have 10,000, 10,000 and then the third file has 809.

Hi Amy. I uploaded my xml to the IRS without first changing the BN299 to indicate "Final Submission", and therefor it did not populate BN89. Is there a way I can hard-code the file name so that I can enter the IRS receipt ID into BN89 and submit my correction/replacement? Thanks ahead of time! -Andrea

Hi Andrea - since Final Submission wasn't run, the employee data isn't stored in BN1095HDR or BN1095DTL. You will have to rerun BN299 in Final Submission to create the BN89 record. The BN1095HDR table will have to be directly edited for what was submitted to the IRS - UniqueID, File Name, etc. I suggest logging an support incident for

assistance.
