How long is the IRS taking to acknowledge acceptance of test file?

If you are asking if they call you or send you an email to say it's "Good", never.



If you are asking how long it takes the test system to process a file so that when you go to "Check Transmission Status" to look up your file via TCC and ReceiptID, so you can call the IRS Help Desk to turn on your TCC, then it depends on the load at the time of day.



Last night I was getting 10-30 minutes, right now I'm seeing more like 40 minutes to an hour.



Remember, this is a filing that the due date for has repeatedly been pushed back for because vendors were having issues getting their software to comply with specs, Infor wasn't the only one late out of the gate. I would imagine we are dealing with a mass group of people attempting to run in and get their test files processed right now.
