What Safe Harbor Code do you see on BN990 when an employee is enrolled in the waive plan and is not eligible based on hours?
Background to my question: I am working on the 2016 setup for an affiliate who did not use Lawson last year for ACA. The interpretation by our Benefits Analyst is the Safe Harbor Code should be 2B if the EE is PT and waived coverage. I understand 2B is one of the codes Lawson assigns when certain criteria is met. I opened a ticket with Lawson and received several explanations: 1. EE must be enrolled in Waive but non-eligible on BN49 for 2B. 2. It is correct for SHC to default from best offer. 3. System will override the best offer SHC with a 2B if the EE meets the criteria. The employee I am testing with is enrolled in Waive plan and is listed as non-eligible on BN49. However when I run BN990 the SHC is defaulting from the best offer plan.
I would like to know if otherse are getting a 2B in this scenario because then I know there is something wrong with our setup. If others are not getting a 2B then it is something beyond our setup and we will need to do a SHC override for these employees in order to have them coded per our Analyst's instruction.
