Recommendations on Mobile Supply Chain hardware

Anyone have any recommendations on which scanners to use for Mobile Supply Chain?

I am just getting budget $$ at this time so we can get our phase 2 approved for implementation... which is the entire Supply Chain Suite.

I'm trying to find the compatibility matrix on Xtreme but struggling.

Also.. any input on which Zebra printer for them to print bar code labels?

Any other hardware you might know of that I'd be missing to include would be greatly appreciated.

Call Emkat 763-744-1204. They have a list of all compatible scanners, and are very easy to work with.

They are also a certified Infor/Lawson partner/vendor.

They know what is certified and what is coming out like the Android OS as well as timing of certifications. My recommendation on the Zebra printer is the same as they deal with it as well. I spoke to him at Inforum about wireless label printers that they helped Stanford Health roll out for MSCM. It was a very interesting presentation. We are looking to reduce paper and provide just the bar code label in place of the full delivery doc.

We use the 99EX-hc model that we bought from Emkat and have been very happy with it.

We also went through Emkat. Using the MC55A0-HC for about a year.

We also use Emkat with MC55s. We use Zebra printers for the labels. A couple of things to consider in your roll out:

We went live with thermal direct printing and paper labels. Operations notified us they were having to relabe every 30-60 days as the label faded under the fluorescent lights. We switched to ribbons and polyester labels and have much happier ops folks.

Another issue was the slow printing of labels from MSCM during mass product conversions. You could not print a label for 1 item on every cart with a few clicks in MSCM. We developed custom screens for bin, par, and charge labels that cut hours off print jobs.
