SS# correction

I did a test with a correction to a SS#. I did the correction on the BN27 thru BN299. It created the files correctly but the error report in Lawson said invalid SS#. Is this because I did not go back to the HR11 to correct?

If the employee had health coverage, I believe you also need to update the SS# on BN96. It's listed again there as a covered individual.

I found that the best way to make the corrections is on HR11/HR13, for future filings. Then BN96 for the current filing. Then you have to use BN97 to indicate that the record needs to go in the IRS correction file, and then run BN299 again in correction mode.
