Enhancement request for processing arrears payments...

I have worked in other systems where I've been able to set up an arrears processing rule to take a certain number of premiums when someone returned to work. For example we had it set up to take one and a half premiums until the arrears was cleared.

I am very surprised and frustrated that there is no way to set up such a rule in Lawson.

I will put in an enhancement request, but if others have done so already can I just add my name to an existing request?

1 - does anyone know if this request is out there somewhere.

2 - can I add my name to it or do I create a new one?

Are you not utilizing the arrears processing on PR05? We have most setup for process 1 arrear. So it will take a "regular" deduction and 1 arrear until the arrears are cleared up. You can't do 1/2 of an arrear but it is better than trying to take it manually.

That looks very promising! So If I set the Arrears Process Rule to 1 it will take the regular deduction plus one, 2 will take the regular deduction plus 2 deductions etc? Am I understanding this correctly?

What version are you on? I see processing rule on PR05, is that the field? My only option is blank or 1.

That is correct. It will always take a current deduction and then you define how many arrears to take too with that rule. We are on V10 but we had this with V9 too.

There is a process rule...then there is an Arrears process rule. The one I'm going to test is the arrears specific rule.
