IPA Inbasket Approval from Email

We are trying to implement inbasket approvals for our PA52 Approvals. We created a Flow and we included the Approvals via Email. We are receiving the email with the necessary information with buttons to Approve/Reject. The Approval mail was received by User1 and we forwarded the email to User2. And then User2 took an Action "Approve" in the mail and the action was approved.

Is there any way to find out who actually approved it - when I checked pfimetrics table, I am seeing User1 approved it and not User2. Do we have this stored anywhere else to find that User2 approved not the User1.

This issue is resolved by JT-940620 as part of Rich Client 10.1.1.43.

This issue was resolved as follows:

1. Infor Process Automation now disallows email actions if the user that authenticated is not the same person that

received the email with action links

2. When the old behavior is preferred, a new flag -- emailActionAllowEmailForwarding -- is now supported. Create a

Configuration Property with that name, under the system configuration, set to true, and the old behavior will be

observed (actions taken on forwarded emails will be allowed). If the property is missing, the system will default the

flag to false.

Is a VPN connection required for users to take an action from within an email while outside the network?

Either that or some how so that they can get through the firewall and have access to Lawson. We are beginning to look at the mobile inbasket which may have other ways to allow verification while user is outside the network.
