Emailing pdf files from Lawson print mgr - format issue

One of our payroll users is having issues emailing reports from her print manager when selecting to send a copy of the report. It opens an email and inserts an attachment but even the name of the attachment does not look right. Adobe Reader XI 11.0.03 (Adobe Flash Player 22 ActiveX 22.0.0.210) Sample of what the attachment looks like:

It would be very helpful to know whether this in Ming.le or Smart Office, and what version # it is exactly. I believe that there is a different Print Manager for each. Sorry I know that isn't an answer, however knowing exactly where this is coming from will help to point to a solution.

Have you verified that Adobe is the default reader? We have several users who have issues after installing Adobe Writer. Didn't matter what version of Reader they had, we had to go back and make reader the default reader for pdfs.

I have checked further and I am not certain about one thing, at my end. Usually I use Ming.le for interfacing with Lawson. I checked my print manager, and I can't find any option to email reports. Maybe my Ming.le isn't set up the same as yours ... Are you sending from within the PDF viewer? If you are sending email from the Print Manager in Ming.le then I will have to check to see why ours is not set up that way.

Melissa, Adobe is set as the default reader for pdf files for the user. Very good point! Milo, the user has her default report type set to PDF in Lawson; opens a report from her print manager; the report opens in Adobe Reader window; and from there she emails the report. So no, the email functionality is not specifically within Ming.le but she does not have this problem with she emails pdf reports from outside of Lawson. Hope that makes sense.

Sorry, for some reason my Adobe Acrobat is not set up to send email. So no more ideas on that. Except for this: Check this strange behavior other browsers. The big 3 are IE 11, Chrome, and Firefox. In Firefox, the Options settings for Applications allow several different readers to be selected for PDF's, which makes a difference on how PDF's are viewed, how they look, how they behave when displayed. This is individual to each PC. We have had trouble with these PDF settings so I am wary of them.

Found the resolution to our issue. IE 11 setting for Adobe PDF Reader under Manage Add-ons must be set to Disabled.
