Bs06

I've setup bs06 for Flex for 26 pay periods. The first pay period for the deduction is 12/18/2016 to 12/31/2016. When I go through the online enrollment flex is being calculated for 25 pay periods instead of 26. I put the effective date as 12/18/2016 and the first cycle end date is 12/31/2016. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I had this same problem! What is your New Election Date on BS01? Mine is 1/1/2017.

On BS06 I have Effective Date and First Cycle End Date of 1/1/17. I added 1/1/17 for the end date on cycle 26 and start date of 1/2/17 for cycle 25. All the other cycle dates align with true pay period begin and end dates.

I had to manually add each cycle... was not able to use Calculate;Add feature.

This is going to happen again for 2018 enrollments:/

I have ours set up with the Effective date 01/01/2017. We are paid bi-weekly and the First Cycle End Date will be 01/07/2017. I entered the Begin Date of 12/25/2016 and End Date of 01/07/2017 for cycle 26 and was able to use the Calculate;Add feature and it worked.

We are paid bi-weekly as well. Unfortunately, our first pay check in 2017 is for pay dates 12/18/2016 - 12/31/2016. So the true First Cycle End Date is 12/31/2016.

I could not add a record on BS06 with Effective Date of 1/1/17 and First Cycle End Date 12/31/2016. This is the reason I had to fudge the end/begin dates for cycles 26 and 25. Calc; Add would not work because I had to alter cycle dates.

I'm struggling with this also and am resorting to a manual add. However, the manual add is giving me problems as well. I can add in the first 12 pay periods but cannot page down to do the rest. When I do a page down, it tells me I "must enter cycle detail on line1." The first cycle detail is on line 1 but it is on the previous page. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but cannot figure it out! Do you have any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong??

Try adding the first two rows, as long as they represent the yearly pattern, then use the CALCULATE function. After that, use inquiry to verify.

I don't have a calculate function, only calculate; add and that is not working for me. It only adds the first 2 rows and doesn't calculate anything beyond that. I can then manually add in rows for the next 10 pay periods but once I fill up the first screen, I am stuck. I can't seem to do a page down to enter the remaining cycles on the next page.

I enter as many cycles that will fit on that page. I then add the record. Then I enter the next set, with the Add Function Code on each line. When that screen is full, I then Change the record.

I have always used add-ins. It seems to be a much simpler way to add the data.

That got me closer! I was doing an inquire after the add and then I couldn't get the second page. If I do the add, then page down and immediately start entering the next set and do a change, that works. However, I still can't get it to page down to a 3rd page to enter the last 2 pay cycles. I'm not as worried about that since we rarely have flex enrollments so later in the year but I'll keep messing with it. Thanks!

Emily: must enter cycle detail on line1.

This sounds like a bug or a least a bad "feature". I'd open a Incident with Infor. If it's not a bug, it's at the minimum bad UI design.
