We've just recently converted to LAWSON 10 from PeopleSoft. In reviewing and preparing for 1099 reporting a couple of questions have come up.
- On the APVENMAST Table there is an field to capture the type of TIN number which is part of the 'B' record on the 1099 tape file, but in our tests the AP146 is not picking up these entries (they are either, 1,2, or blank). The field is not required by the IRS, but lawson captures the data so it would seem the AP146 build should reference the field. (note I can tell from review the APVENMAST table structure for release 9.0 vs 10.0 that the field is new for Lawson 10.0).
- The IRS allows and in our experience encourages a single transmitter for multiple payers. This is accomplished by the tax-ID on the T record (transmitter) being different then the Tax-ID on the A record (Payer), but in our testing we have not encountered a Lawson set up that would facilitate this difference. Has anyone successfully implemented such?
Thank you,
