ACA 2016 offer codes - questions

If we change an offer code for one of our plans for 2016 reports in BN15 will it update all the previous offers for 2016? Found out in a webinar that 1G is only if someone was part time for the entire year and we have employees change from part time to full time during the year. I need to change our part time plan offer code.

Also, will the system automatically change part time employees to 2B when we process ACA? Last year we uploaded all the offers and I think we manually changed the part time people, but this year the system should know, correct?

We had all of our plans set up as 1Es and the safe harbor as 2F. Depending on hours, stability rules etc if they were part time a 2B did appear on the BN99 and subsequently the 1095s. I would think that as long as you don't recreate your BN29s and BN99s it would be okay. You can also override on each contribution record.

I wish I felt more certain about some of this but it still makes my head hurt.

Margie, I agree - sometimes I think I know what I'm doing, but then I start questioning and my head spins. What you said makes sense about the 2B.

I just wondering if I want to change my 1G to 1Es and I change the plan will it change my offers in BN29, which is what I would want.

Unfortunately, I don't think it will recreate your BN29s from 01/01/2016. Several correction possibilities come to my head. None of them pretty. Maybe you can solicit help from support through a case and see what the recommendation may be. There could be a trick I do not know.
