We are in the initial steps of implementing Workunit archiving and clean up. We have been on LTM since May, 2012. We have never performed any archiving or deleting of Workunits and related information. Both our PFIACTIVITY and PFIACTIVITYVARIABLE TABLES have 4.7M and 4.2M rows respectively. We have approximately 5,000 active employees.
I'd like to hear what other LTM clients' archiving/deleting policies are for Workunit data.
•Do you have processes you choose to archive to history first before deletion?
•Do you have any processes you don't archive/delete?
•Were there issues you discovered after performing your initial archive/delete?
•Did you have to adjust your initial archive/delete policies after users experienced the full effect?
•Any other lessons learned that we might benefit from hearing?
