Lawson v10 response time on the Cloud.

We just went LIVE on v10 Lawson (Finance and Purchasing Apps only) in the Cloud mid September.  Since then we have been experiencing episodes of extreme slowness.  Are the other Cloud clients out there with response time issues.  If yes, we'd like to hear from you.  Were you able to resolve the issue?  If yes, what did you do?

I have worked with Lawson in a hosted environment, both as a customer and working for a cloud hosting vendor, both Lawson v9 and v10. I've dealt with slowness in many areas of Lawson, some of them quite unexpected, and many times related specifically to the fact that hosting "in the cloud" involves a lot of extra places where slowness can occur. I can't get involved in your exact configuration because I have to work my regular job, however I can help you get started on locating and troubleshooting your problem. What you need to do is get specifics from the users about where the slowness occurs. Things to look for are:

- screen refresh speed

- How long a report takes to run

- Printing times

- screen transfer speed, from one screen to another

- Startup when first logging on

- Startup when the entire application is first accessed after a long time at rest (several hours)

Specifics are necessary because different problems manifest slowness in different areas. The tools to troubleshoot differ depending upon where the problem lies. Please post if you can determine what's slowing down when!
