ACA Coding for EE working less than 30 hours

We are self insured and offer health insurance to employees who work less than 30 hours.  I issued form 1095-C last year (because we are self insured) using code 1G but, this year code 1G can only be used if it applies for the entire year or not at all.  Does any one know what code will be used if it not for the entire year on form 1095-C?  Thank you!

I have the same issue. As I understand it, you would use code 1G for the entire year even if the part-time person was only offered and/or carried coverage for part of the year. Then, in the covered individuals section, you would note the months they actually had coverage. So if you hired a part-time person in February and they had insurance for March - December, you would use 1G for all 12 months but the covered individual section would show coverage for March - December only. I'm not 100% on that but I think that is what they want to see.



On a related note, the BN990 in Lawson is not generating the 1G codes correctly for me so I'm not sure what I have wrong in my setup. I'm seeing records where they have the 1G for only some months. Does anyone know what the correct setup is so that Lawson generates the 1G code for all 12 months? Thanks!
