Query employee's USER ID from Lawson

I have a list with an employee's USER ID and need to add their Lawson ID number. I can query their Lawson ID but don't know how to query their user ID. Where do you find their user ID.

I think this depends on whether or not your company stores User ID in Lawson, and if so, where is it stored. I don't believe there is a standard field for this. We started storing that data in the MB-NBR field in the PAEMPLOYEE table a few years ago. This is the Mail Box Number field that is displayed on the Work tab in HR11. Note: we are S3, v901; not using the Landmark HCM product.

Another option is LDAP if you are using Employee Self-Service. LDAP would contain the user ID and the employee ID, but I'm not familiar with the tables/fields there.

We have ours in LDAP and it's very difficult to pull back out. We have to use an LDAP tool but it's not really user friendly. If you have Process flow there is a standard flow to pull this and the Requestor. since we don't use process flow this has been a challenge for us as well. We are now looking at putting in it a field within HR11 so we can pull back out.. but that's a maintenance issue.

I'm not sure if we are set up the same as you, and I'm fairly new to Infor Lawson but we are on version 10 and use ESS on Lawson hr/payroll side. Within the Lawson security tool, we have an SSOP identity that has the userid (ie.. the LDAP user they login as) and the Employee identity has the company number and employee id.

In my exact case, my user is abice and my 'employee' is 14333. I'm trying to find the table where this is and can update you but before I go through that, wanted to make sure you are in fact using ssop and employee identities.. your security person should be able to confirm.

you can do a Ctrl+Shift+O to find out what the table and field name is for where you store your User ID on the HR11 screen so its easier to query in Add-ins. If its a part of the user field tab, then you have to query on userfields, specify the field number used for the field and pick the A-field, n-field depending how you set it up and run your query. Let me know if you need more info on that add-ins query

Ours is stored in LDAP like Lisa mentioned, but we use Softerra LDAP Browser (the browser is free to download) and it is pretty user friendly and will even let you export to excel or .csv or ldif format. You can just navigate to the OU=svcxref,O=lwsnSecData,for your instance and right click on the CN for your EMPLOYEE self-service instance (ours would be PROD10_EMPLOYEE) and export data. Until you get familiar with all the fields values, you can just select export all and select the format you want. That will give you the users Employee ID and the user id. We use this for our resources as well so the analysts can audit security settings for users rmid records. Because this is freeware and is just a browser, you don't have to worry about changing anything by mistake as you can only view.

Our IS department has a routine that populates their HR11 user field "NETWORK ID" when they create the user's record in Active Directory.
