RQ500 Sample File

Hello - Does anyone have a sample RQ500 file they would be willing to share? We are looking to build an interface between our IT ticketing system and RQ10. Thank you.

IT ticketing system, RQ10 and RQ500? What is your goal? How do you plan are relating a ticketing system to requisitions?

IT purchase requests are entered into our IT ticketing system and we would like to pull that data from a custom form into a file RQ500 can process.

If you have either of the processflow applications, you will find it a lot easier to use this as an interface rather than RQ500.

Home Care is implementing a new system (Brightree) and wants to send replenishment data to Lawson. I sent the specs for RQ500 but they don't want to go the flat file route. They want to send a csv file. I've never processed a csv file with RQ500. Does anyone have an example that I could see so I can give them an idea of how it should be laid out?

I do not believe you can use a csv file with RQ500. I believe you have to use that huge file layout with a lot of blank spaces. That is one reason we don't use this program.

Jon - while we're not using the CSV format (we're flat file) I was able to create the RQ500 via the RQ511. This of course is for V10 (we're upgrading in May from 9.x)

Thank you. I took the file and substituted our data and sent it as an example. Although it looked like the item number and quantity were not in the position the specs say they should be in your file.

jreese- RQ500 has the option of flat file or csv. I've never ran it with a csv file before so I'll let you know if it works.
